I used cardboard boxes to paint on (prime both front and rear with gesso to prevent corrosion)-  transforming  3 d industrial designed objects into 2 d painting ground. Contours and texture of the box are essential for further development- linen is no alternative .........  The abstraction- box to painting ground  is closely related to my method of 3 d sketching: i fix masking tapes to separate colorfields or shapes of the sculpture. An experimental process which allows to develop without conceptional thinking-  from deeper sources of inspiration. Choice of colors follows inspiration too- maybe a little like jazz improvisation.

The title:  an allusion to the orange revolution- the growth of the orange.............
