Pallieter works intuitively and hands-on. He searches, finds, collects: furniture, toys, objects, materials. A large warehouse in Culemborg is his treasure trove and workshop, where he creates his assemblages and tableaux.

Along the way, Pallieter has managed to leave functionality further and further behind. A chair is an object, a lamp is a shape. He is now finally doing what he has always wanted to do: to play with building blocks of form, colour, atmosphere, and texture.
