"My two worlds collided", is a series of work, incorporating materials that I use from my every day Decorative Arts and Carpentry business in my world of Fine Art. Utilizing wood and Venetian plaster to create geometric shapes strategically joined for a completed sculpture paintings. The sculpture paintings allow me to manipulate shape, space, color, and variations in textures for a mixture of layers and contours, creating visually stimulating imagery. "
BIO EJ Berzolla was born in Staten Island, NY, and grew up in Freehold, NJ. He had a talent for drawing. As a teenager he used to be painting where his passion came alive; and after taking classes at FIT, EJ knew he was destined to be an artist. He went on to receive honors at several prestigious art shows, which eventually led him to study Fine Art at the School of Visual Arts in New York City, where his passion for painting grew and he discovered his love for abstract expressionism.
EJ also owns Inspired Interiors, based in New Jersey, which showcases his devotion as an interior artist, home furnishing throughout the world with one-of-a-kind murals, decorative painting and distinctive carpentry. His work has been featured in Design NJ and Incredible Homes of Ocean County.
