Janina Wierusz Kowalska (Poland) & Dan Hildt (USA)

Janina Wierusz Kowalska (Poland 1949) comes from a family with artistic talents. She studied Industrial Design and Painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow. She founded The School of Visual Arts, for which she created her own program. Interdisciplinary education based on the ideas of Bauhaus. Janina paints, draws, makes textile installations and photographs.

Then Hildt (USA 1951): “My work is contemporary, using a variety of materials and techniques. Ranging from stone mixed with asphalt binder to reclaimed packaging material. Each piece explores form, color and texture in different ways. I am constantly stimulated by an ever-changing world and observe what I encounter around me. Basically I follow the mantra: I SEE, I FEEL, I THINK, I DO.”
